Kick Off Pride Weekend with StandUpMN!  Join us for our inaugural PRIDE PADDLE on Friday, June 28th.  We will be grilling out at Boom Island at 5pm and transporting upriver at 6 pm to paddle the Mighty Mississippi!

Gay, Lesbian, Straight, Bi, Trans, Ally, come celebrate who you are!  Open to groups or individuals!  All are welcome!

How we prepare

Safety is planned into every aspect of the Pride Paddle.  We carefully walk through the initial pre-planning of routes, times and locations to ensure that you will be getting the best time of day and best route on the river for this amazing adventure!

Planning, and expecting the unexpected.  Our Guides and Paddle Leads are certified by NOLS, Wilderness Medicine Institute, American Red Cross, and American Canoe Association - trusted names for a reason - they give us the skills to respond to difficult situations.  This training has helped shape our safety protocols and equipment, ensuring that each guide has the resources and skills needed to avoid potential hazards in the first place.

Most people don't realize that only 5% of our clients fall in the water!  Most of those happen to be male, and often times they have it coming...  That being said, there is no promises you will stay dry.  Just come looking to have fun, listen to the guides and enjoy the rest of the day!  This is going to be fun.  That much we can promise!

Itinerary - Friday, June 28

5pm - BBQ at Boom Island Park (724 Sibley Ave, NE Minneapolis)
6:30pm - We transport every fabulous paddler up-river and begin river safety and paddling orientation
6:45pm - Begin paddling adventure!
7pm - Paddle through the most beautiful national park in Minnesota and under the Rainbow Lowry Ave Bridge
8:15pm - Finish tour downtown Minneapolis at Boom Island
8:30pm - Nice Ride to the Beer Dabbler!
