SAFETY

Safety First

Safely guiding over 1,000 people down the Mississippi River is no simple task. This is why we take safety seriously. To keep our paddleboard tours safe and enjoyable, our guides are experienced and certified with Wilderness First Responder (WFR), CPR, First Aid and Lifeguard qualifications. But certifications and experience only compliment a well-structured and fully-stocked operation. Our guides and transportation driver carry cell-phones, waterproof radios, throw lines, hydration, whistles, and a first-aid kit is stored in our transportation vehicle for any minor cuts/scrapes. We take our job, and your safety, seriously, so you can enjoy the river!

How do I book my tour?

There are a few options for booking your tour:

1 – Voucher Method  book now

Buy a voucher for a specific tour and then book the date of your tour later. This option is great for buying gifts or if you aren’t sure which date your group can go. (please note, all of our Twin Cities Tours are the same price and are interchangeable with voucher purchases)

2 – Booking Method  book now

Do you know when you want to paddle?  If you are looking for a relaxing adventure or a race?  You can reserve your groups spot and book your tour date right now, by choosing the tour you want, the number of participants in your group and the date. Please note that sunset tours run every Wednesday and Friday evening, Minneapolis Tours run every Saturday, and St. Paul Tours run every Sunday. The Sunset Tour is a special tour and the location will be selected using different factors like wind direction and water current levels to maximize the enjoyment of the special trip.

3 – Private / Corporate Adventures  Contact Us

If you have a group of 8-12 people, contact us to schedule a time / place that works for you.  Our weekdays are saved to meet the needs of bachelor/ bachelorette parties, corporate team-building events, family gatherings, birthday parties and other small group excursions.

How to use a promotion code

If you have a promotion code from crowd cut or another marketing provider, type it into the field marked ‘promotion code’ when booking your tour date.

For Crowd Cut, you will need to type in the serial number.  Please note, that your promotional code will give credit to your account. You can use this credit for the tour package you bought, or towards partial payment for a bigger paddleboard excursion, like a sunset tour, or the ones we are providing in August!

If you purchased a prepaid package (like the ones offered for yoga), you are only allowed to book one space at a time.  So if you would like to book for yourself and a friend, book yourself first, and then log back in to book the second person for the same time.

Cancellations and Rainchecks

We didn’t come up with this term, but it feels like it was made for us. We will be keeping a close eye on the sky before your tour. If the weather looks dangerous, we will email you and cancel the tour, allowing you to reschedule for another date. You can reschedule or cancel a tour up to 3 days in advance. If you do not show up for a scheduled tour, you will not get a refund.

Where do I park?

This depends on which tour you are scheduled.

  • Minneapolis Tour meets at Boom Island Park: 724 Sibley St. NE., Minneapolis MN 55413
  • St. Paul Tour meets at Raspberry Island: 1 Levee Road, St. Paul, MN 55107

What do I bring?

Sunglasses, any medications, water, sunscreen, credit cards, driver’s License, tip for your guides and your adventurous spirit!

What do I leave at home?

Children under 14, pets, alcohol, and guns are unnecessary on the river and should be left at home… in a safe place. You can bring a camera, but our guides will be taking/editing pictures of your tour and emailing them shortly after!  There will be secure storage in our transportation vehicle for your phone and keys.

Can I take my family?

It depends. Is every person in your family over 14 years old AND 100 pounds?

Since every person will be piloting their own paddleboard, it is important that we are all old enough and big enough to do so.

TELL US WHAT YOU THINK

Your opinion matters to us. A lot. Please share your opinion with others as they are considering this experience! Currently, we use Facebook, Yelp, and Google to collect feedback. We hope to see you and your friends again on the river soon!
