Safety Starts with Planning...
Planning, and expecting the unexpected.  Our Guides and Paddle Leads are certified by NOLS, Wilderness Medicine Institute, American Red Cross, and American Canoe Association - trusted names for a reason - they give us the skills to respond to difficult situations.  This training has helped shape our safety protocols and equipment, ensuring that each guide has the resources and skills needed to avoid potential hazards in the first place.

Our Family Tours, Beginner Lessons and Sunset Tours are scheduled at the most ideal times and locations to ensure a smooth and relaxing paddleboard experience.

How we prepare...

Safety is planned into every aspect of our tours.  The initial planning of routes, times and locations is carefully laid down months in advance.  Our certification courses in wilderness medicine teach us what tools we need to plan, organize and communicate in the most stressful situations imaginable.  We believe this attention to detail and training is critical when creating a safe environment on the river.

  • We use Accent Paddles because they are made locally in S Minneapolis. They also just happen to be the highest quality paddleboard paddles in the market.
  • We use the very best HD Camera's to capture your special memories in HD. Leave the camera behind and focus on having fun!
  • This safety equipment helps us expect the unexpected, so we can safely manage any situation.
  • This additional safety equipment helps our guides plan and communicate with our support vehicles while on the river.

Matt was wonderful! He made sure we were all safe, comfortable, and most of all, having fun. I appreciated his knowledge about the river, some history tidbits, and funny stories from past tours!
